Prayer Requests
What is a prayer?
Prayer is simply reaching out to God. Allowing God to know the situation we are in and asking for help. Other times we turn to God in thanksgiving. And of course, we should always say a prayer of thanks when a prayer request has been answered. Always be thankful!
Does Prayer Help?
In today's world many people are overwrought with fear. Listening to the daily news media report, the seeming never-ending stream of disasters, the countless inhumane incidences humankind forces on both other humans and animals, can be distressing for most of us.
Add to that list the ever seeming ever increasing physical problems we are encumbered with, heart attacks, anxiety problems, bone and joint pain, the list is endless and the cost to society through insurance companies, doctors and hospitals is astronomical.
Then there is the emotional level, the affairs of the heart that the public figures and our own friends and families exhibit. Cruelty to children, drug addictions, the list is endless.
Is it no wonder we turn to God at these trying times.
Prayer does help. It changes people, changes their inability to understand and deal with situations and gives them vision and turns their hopelessness to hope.
Prayer requests or reaching out to ask someone else to pray for you and your situation is nothing to be ashamed of. We all need help sometimes. We all need to reach out to others. We all can request prayer and expect it to be done.
With God all things are possible. With prayer, all things are possible.
With this in mind, we pray:
Dear God,
Look down on us at this trying time. Ease the pain and stress through which we suffer. Please allow us the ability to comprehend and accept what is transpiring. Allow us peace and time to relax.
Amen!
Prayer Does Work!
We believe prayer is the answer to many problems that people suffer from in the world today. With all the financial hardship, emotional turmoil and terrorism threats we face these days, it's no wonder people have a difficult time relaxing or even falling asleep. Every facet of our lives is constantly overdosed with extremism in one way or another.
Prayer is a direct help line for those facing difficulty. An old expression was, "There are no atheists in foxholes"... which is very well true. A colleague of mine, years ago, once said words with a similar effect, "At some time in everyone's life, they will call out to God"...
What powerful thoughts. It only makes one wonder why it would take a tragedy or for one to to face death to call out to God. But sadly, it's so for many people.
If you are overwrought with pain, emotional stress, or any other trouble, send your prayer request to us. Know that you are not alone when you seek God and ask.
With prayer, all things are possible.
If you have a need for prayer, we will add your name and request to our prayer list. We will respond to your prayer request by praying on a daily basis and asking God for relief to be delivered to you and your situation.

The Lord's Prayer (as Jesus taught us to pray...)
Our Father, which art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
in earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
(King James Version)
From the Book of Psalms
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1
Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer--it does not rise from deceitful lips. Psalm 17:1
Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me. Psalm 50:15
Evening and morning, and at noon, I will pray and cry aloud; and He shall hear my voice. Psalm 55:17
Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled. You who answer prayer, to you all people will come. Psalm 65:1-2
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalms 145:18
Biblical Quotes on Prayer and How Prayer Affects our Lives
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:7-11
